Hello readers, hope you are finding these essential oils of great value. This week let me discuss some more oils with you.

 

Pine: That is pinus Sylvester’s. This oil is prepared from thorns basically. It is mainly useful in cases of muscular aches as a result of rheumatism, arthritis, muscle fatigue as a result of low blood circulation ,etc. Other than pains, it also relieves sore throat, asthma, sinus troubles. Pains associated with neuralgia, nerve trauma, sciatica, stress in muscles is treated nicely with pine. It reduces profuse sweating. Max 3drops.

Petitgrain: That is citrus aurantium var amara, prepared from leaves and is basically soothing oil. This oil is used to calm our senses and relieve our mental strain, stress and tension attacks. It relieves restlessness and anxiety due to tension. This oil acts well in improving acne because it reduces sweating. It also reduces oil in skin and hair and so can treat oily and greasy hair and skin making you looks gorgeous whole day. It builds up memory as it stimulates mind and senses. It triggers immunity and thus prevents illness. Looking at its uses, I think its great during examinations isn’t it? Max is 5 drops.

It is an effective toner. It gladdens the heart and brings positive vibes when heart feels sad and disappointed. It relieves insomnia.

Hello readers, I am back with lots of knowledge for you about aromatherapy to fill your life with fragrance. Aroma {fragrance} affects our mood, good one freshens us whereas the bad one puts us off. Other than this, the oils of flowers enters our skin and add spark to ur beauty so now a days spas, saloons, parlours are using these oils and fetching thousands of bucks from you. So why not to save some money for urself??  To help you do this,  I am going to share with you essential oils used in aromatherapy.  

YLANG-YLANG: Its botanical name is cananga odorate and is prepared from flowers..it helps to release tension, uncontrolled anger, stress,a nxiety, rapid heart rate, hypertension.

Dose is 2 to 3 drops. It causes calming effect on mind so avoid using it after alcohol consumption and before or while driving…it has relaxing and balancing effect…it may  cause headache and nausea if  used in excess…

In continuation to the first article of this series Getting started with aromatherapy, in this article we will discuss list and some short details of essential oils, their benefits and usefullness. So lets get started.

There are hundreds of essential oils used in aromatherapy treatments. Following are some of the most basic treatments

Essential oils are the most commonly used aromatherapy oils. Essential oils are extracted from plants by steam distillation. The essential oil has a scent that has a therapeutic effect. Different essential oils have different effects. Not all essential oils are safe for use in aromatherapy. Some unsafe aromatherapy oils include bitter almond, mug worth, mustard, arnica, onion, pennyroyal, rue, garlic, horseradish and wormwood. The healing properties of Essential Oils are capable of not only treating our physical bodies, they are renowned for enhancing our state of mind as well.

Aromatherapy as described in wikipedia is an unscientific form of alternative medicine that uses volatile liquid plant materials, known as essential oils (EOs), and other aromatic compounds from plants for the purpose of affecting a person’s mood or health. This article will discuss some of the basic concepts of aromatherapy and will act as a stepping stone for our upcoming articles.

 Aromatherapy essential oils refer to oils that are extracted from plant sources and these oils must contain potent, aromatic compounds. Such oil is usually extracted from the plant source through the process of distillation, expression or solvent extraction. There has been enough archeological evidence to suggest that such oils have been used for their aroma-therapeutic value since ancient times by various cultures of the world.
